About Timothy Brien
Timothy “Kimo” Brien has been writing his poetry since 1990 when he first stumbled upon TS Elliot in a High School English class and was inspired to dream and interpret his first poem. Since that time he has written 4 collections of poems starting with Throwing Myself At The Ground and Missing (2006) Postcards From Someone, You Don’t Know (2007), Wisdom From The Sack (2009) and Shaving Crop Circles In My Chest Hair (2017). He has hosted poetry readings in Rockford Illinois, Carbondale Illinois, and Richmond Virginia. He has performed his works in all of these cities as well as Phoenix Arizona and his current home of Fredericksburg Virginia. Starting in 2006 he hosted a weekly call-in Poetry show on Kimo’s Den of Iniquity through Blogtalkradio, a podcast site. Currently, he hosts his own interview and spoken word show KDOI Podcasting on libsyn at www.kdoipodcasting.libsyn.com where he talks with artists from various disciplines and uncovers the mystery behind being an artist to inspire others to pick up the pen and drop the cell phone and Create More Than You Consume. Mr Brien is also an accomplished DJ, musician, playwright, painter, carpenter, producer and director Kimo’s Den Of Iniquity where we learn how to create more than we consume by talking with Full time, Part time, Amateur and “non” Artists of all disciplines to discover our commonality and be inspired. This is a bi-weekly podcast bringing you viewpoints that sometimes class and sometimes are harmonious.
